Post Adoption Services
Adoption has a lifelong impact on everyone involved, and we understand that adopted adults, birth parents, adoptive parents, and family members may have questions about their adoption story.

Adoption Records Search & Reunion Services
DePelchin assists adult adoptees, birth parents, and eligible family members who wish to reconnect with one another or learn more about their background.
Our services include:
- Adoption records requests and retrieval
- Adoption search assistance
- Reunion facilitation and support
- Birth family connection services
- Access to available historical and background information

Who Is Eligible for Post Adoption Services?
DePelchin’s post-adoption services are available to:
- Individuals adopted through DePelchin
- Birth parents involved in a DePelchin-facilitated adoption
- Individuals who lived at DePelchin
- Former foster youth and children who were previously in care of the State of Texas
In certain situations, we may be able to assist individuals who were not adopted through DePelchin but have sufficient documentation and limited resources for conducting an adoption search independently.

DePelchin assists in the search and reunion of adopted individuals and their birth parents. These services are limited to those who were adopted or lived at DePelchin; or children who were formerly in the custody of the state of Texas, (i.e. foster care). In some cases, search and reunion services can be provided for other individuals who were not adopted through DePelchin that have adequate documentation but lack resources for completing their search.
